Renewable Energy Sources

on Sunday, February 28, 2010

Renewable energy sources are energy sources that are continually replenished. Examples of renewable energy sources include: water, wind, solar, and geothermal sources. The United States however, relies on fuels, oil, and natural gas as the main energy source. These energy sources cannot be replenished once they are used up, and are concidered non-renewable energy sources. Why are we becoming reliant on energy sources that cannot last forever? Not only are renewable energy sources reliant, they are also more cost effectient and better on the environment. The video below was made by a college student for his Web 2.0 class, and shows how the younger generation see the benefits of renewable energy sources. The video shows how important alternative energy sources are. It defines the different types of alternative energy sources, and points out a lot of information on each. As a nation we should be investing more time in looking into each of these energy sources.
